Serum preparation

DBA/1 mice 8 to 12 weeks of age are acclimated to our facility for at least 7 days.

CIA is induced according to the protocol CIA Induction in DBA/1 Mice.

Mice are euthanized after 20 or more days of clinical CIA (typically at 50-60 days after immunization). Blood is immediately collected and serum is isolated and frozen at -80 C.

Serum from multiple mice is pooled and stored at -80 C until shipment.

Detailed contents

Frozen serum, pooled from multiple mice, supplied in a 1.5 mL cryogenic tube on dry ice.

Storage

Keep frozen until use. Storage at -80 C is recommended.
