Distributors

For fastest service we encourage customers to order directly from Hooke. We also accept orders placed through Fisher and VWR, but there may be some delay before we receive the order.

Prices and discounts

Product prices are listed on our products page.

Many of our products have one price for the first item ordered, then a lower price for each additional item. This reflects our efficiencies from preparing larger batches for each daily shipment.

Additional discounts are available only for quantity orders (see table at right). Quantity discounts apply only to orders for the same product (single catalog number) to be shipped on the same day.

We do not offer any other discounts.

Availability

Our fresh cell products have a lead time described on the product page.

All other products are available for immediate ordering and in stock unless marked as "backordered" or "coming soon" on our products page. We will contact you immediately in case of any delays in filling your order (please provide a contact email address & phone number when ordering).

Product life and storage conditions

Product stability and storage information is listed in the "Storage & Stability" section of each product page. The detailed product page is accessible from our main products page by clicking on the catalog number of the product.

Please note that stability periods are from the date of preparation, which is the same day we ship your order.

Sales terms

Our invoice terms are Net 30 days. We accept institutional purchase orders as well as credit cards – Amex/MC/Visa.

We invoice electronically to save paper; please provide an email address or fax number for your invoice.

Packing

Hooke Kits™ are shipped on ice (gel paks) in insulated packaging. Please refrigerate Hooke Kits™ immediately on receipt.

Antigens in TC media are shipped on dry ice in insulated packaging. Please store in a freezer immediately on receipt.

Shipping – United States

USA orders ship via FedEx Priority Overnight, Monday through Thursday (holidays excepted). To avoid possible thawing over the weekend, we do not ship on Friday.

Orders received by noon Boston time normally ship the same day. You will receive an airbill/confirmation number from FedEx via email.

Shipping is charged at FedEx's published rates to your location. If you prefer, we can bill shipping to your institutional FedEx account.

As of 2011, shipping cost in the US is typically $35 to $95, depending on your distance from Boston. For a more accurate estimate, please use FedEx's rate finder. (Choose "Use an already scheduled pickup".) We ship from zip code 01843. Package weight on most orders is 5 to 7 lbs. (including gelpaks or dry ice).

Shipping – International

International orders ship via FedEx International Priority. To minimize the chance of thawing over the weekend due to customs-related delays, international orders ship on the following schedule:

Orders received by noon New York time on a shipping day normally ship the same day. You will receive an airbill/confirmation number from FedEx via email.

Shipping is charged at FedEx's published rates to your location. If you prefer, we can bill shipping to your institutional FedEx account.

As of 2011, FedEx shipping for most orders to Europe or Asia is $150 to $185. For a more accurate estimate, please use FedEx's rate finder. (Choose "Use an already scheduled pickup".) We ship from USA postal code 01843. Package weight on most international orders is 8 to 15 lbs. (including gelpaks or dry ice).

Your invoice will include a payment address as well as wire instructions, if you wish to pay by bank wire transfer.

We will provide a commercial invoice for customs with your order. Our products fall under the following harmonized tariff codes:
